![]() ![]() ![]() Start Next memorizes GPS trajectories, speed, the direction and acceleration thereby allowing riders to study and analyze their performance on the PC. Start Basic is the entry-level version, without data acquisition lap times are visualized directly on the display. Thanks to automatic detection and a global database, the circuit will be automatically detected by the chronometer without the need to press any key. The new range of chronometers use an SD memory card, thus eliminating data download times and reducing the probability of using up all the device memory. The new Start devices use a touch screen display with “Glove Sensitive” technology, allowing the rider to use the device even while wearing gloves, whilst the icon menu make navigation easy and intuitive. Start Basic and Start Next are the only chronometers in the world that use a GPS receiver with a sampling rate of 50Hz guaranteeing accuracy of lap times to one hundredth of a second and precision visualization of GPS trajectories which no other chronometer commercially available on the market today is capable of offering. ![]() ✔ Contact us for special racing bundles and packages. ✔ PZ Racing data acquisition, gear indicators, shift lights, pit crew communication. ✔ In our store you will find all available parts to prepare your bike for race season. I believe they started with the Hero 5 and up, getting better with each Gen.ST200-B PZ-Racing " Start Basic " GPS Lap timer 50Hz touchscreen Zero Stabilization makes the images very jumpy. Both were shot with the GoPro Hero 3 Silver edition using a M圜hron 4 with 05-GPS. Also would definitely recommend a camera with Image Stabilization. I was still new to the sport and used this software to help improve that. Mindful the trickiest part of RaceRender is like Dom said, getting the sync of data and video, but the software has some features that help with this and it gets easier the more you use it. Far worth the price compared to Smarty Cam for the same return. The second is the Full Paid Version with unlimited duration and a broader selection of gauges and data to display on the screen. The first is the Free Version, limited to only about 3 1/2 minutes of video, gauge selection and data. I finished in the same position I started after the shuffling. Other problems mixed in - that’s why it was a short video. Easier to see looking back video than when it was happening. I think I could have passed both guys around 2:00 - I didn’t see it coming soon enough, I took my focus off & missed apex. So far I have used my own videos for analyzing my driving.įirst time I ever carried a camera: (Hero 2) So I am in a bit more of a more rudementary mode ATM, but do want to understand the extent of what to expect from video. The one thing I noticed on video was it was only on right handers, that was the first step in figuring out the problem. I helped out a friend with his grandson at an event. Does the Smarty’s image quality make up for the frame rate? The Go Pro seems to have and advantage of mount options on helmets, which is only an issue on rentals. Any advice is welcomed.Ĭan you elaborate on “the data on the screen of any of them is just for kicks, it is not usable for any tuning or training.”? I am guessing it is due to not synching up or not having fine enough resolution.ĭoes the smarty cam have good image stabilization and slo-mo capability. How do you guys use the camera and or data. I also like to see my hands, feet, where I am looking, and where the kart is. Kart position & attitude on track are the big issues to me this time. I figure camera angle and POV/ FOV are the biggest factors in what a camera provides in terms of data. That still doesn’t prove an accuracy advantage and if it even matters. I think the GP used GPS for all data and the Aim SC HD has and on board accelerometer. Or even if is all that useful, past a just for kick on screen video display. Hero 7 seems to be a safe choice, but I do find the a few people complain the had CS issue and got no service on various GoPro cameras.ģ - I am not sure how accurate the gauges are in the GP vs Aim Smart圜am HD using the in camera data. But can’t say if a Aim SC is worth paying twice the price for. Some cheap knock-offs from under a $100 to up to $400 ![]() The owner is very explicit that I can use it and if it gets damaged I don’t need to replace it.ģ - How effective is the data provided for feedback?ġ - If I get a newer camera, it has image stabilization, on screen data and in theory easier to download video from. I use it on a helmet mount in rental leagues, so no kart mount yet. ![]()
